What This Site Is For
This site is built for decision-making, not generic content consumption. Our goal is to help Indian freelancers estimate realistic rates, avoid underpricing, and understand pricing constraints such as taxes, platform fees, and billable capacity.
Editorial Standards
- Decision-first writing: Top-level pages must help users choose an action in one session.
- Transparent assumptions: Core assumptions (tax bands, fees, billable hours, city adjustments) are shown clearly.
- No thin placeholders: If dedicated data is unavailable, pages must provide practical fallback workflows.
- Human review: High-traffic pages are manually reviewed before major updates are published.
Data & Methodology
Rate bands are modeled from Indian freelance market signals and then adjusted by profession, city, and client type. The calculator output is a decision aid, not a guaranteed quote benchmark for every deal.
We use a bottom-up pricing model that starts from target take-home income and accounts for expenses, taxes, fee leakage, and realistic utilization.
Update Policy
We prioritize updates when tax policy, platform fee structures, or market conditions change materially. As of this publication, major page updates were reviewed in February 2026.
Scope & Limitations
- Content is educational and informational only.
- Tax and legal topics are not a substitute for professional advice from a qualified CA or legal expert.
- Actual rates vary by skill depth, sales process, portfolio quality, and negotiation leverage.
How to Use the Site
- Start with profession calculators.
- Apply city-specific context.
- Validate pricing logic in guides before sending proposals.
